We see here, the familiar

I need'nt not remember

That long forlorn October

Cold and dark, this place

Passing here, I ever

Recite the lines—now sober

All I come to treasure

Had gone without a trace

Love, it seems a fickle thing

After you become a king

And so conquer

Though even Solomon did falter

When all his riches could not bring

Or surpass, above the alter

What he sought most, I now sing:

"Of every age and every year

This is the music of the sphere!

Know and see our destiny

Hear and feel tranquility

Free of fear eternally

Essence of the gods

Conjuring the phantasy

Composing the rhapsody

Complicit in illicity

Message in the song

Spreading far and long

Explicit in sincerity

Knowing right from wrong

In this plane of opulence

Formally, this elegance

Solely, swearing allegiance

Kingdom of most high

Summoning the brilliance

Settling in eloquence

So immense, in eminence

In Empyrean sky

Ruling far and wide

Innocence, in reverence

Where wren and eagle fly

Walk in shade of mystery

A step, a page in history

A word, a passing century

Delve into our doom

Here, the courts, a mortuary

Now, the schools, an aviary

Sense—the point—a cassowary

Never to fly true

The arrow, to the blue

Had once, very—with mastery

Arched above the moon,"

What was once familiar

In that lonesome October

Now I can't remember

What was once commonplace

We witness next to never

The constellations measured

Now forgone endeavour

Became empty, as in space

What I've known is not your rhyme

Nor your parlay with divine

And the profane

Poets will never be the same

As they ever were in time

"What will wax, must then soon wane,"

But moon, and tide, legend, is thine
